Are the roots of your heart deep enough to support a tree that someone can lean on? Can it shelter birds of the air in its branches and help support them?
In these last days, it is not enough to simply read and memorize scriptures. We must meditate and get the Word in our hearts, or our roots will never get deeper.
One of our daughters recently said something that we found important. She said: "The easiest way to put a puzzle together is to start with the corners pieces.”
That is so true! Because the corner pieces of the structure hold the puzzle together.
The Word of God said something similar about Jesus - He is the Chief Cornerstone on which we can build the foundation of our faith.
If we try to build our faith apart from Jesus and His Word then we will be unprepared when challenged by the unexpected. We will have no "corner pieces".
When we have a heart revelation that we are planted on the Chief Cornerstone deeply rooted in our hearts, we are prepared for the challenges of this world.
The deeper our roots, the stronger we are! When our roots run deep our friends can lean on us! When our roots run deep we can help support our family!
